Carcabuey is a picturesque and welcoming village where you will be able to enjoy a deserved rest, with several cultural, natural and gastronomic possibilities.

The village is know for its medieval castle, and it’s olive oil D.O Priego De Cordoba, awarded in numerous occasions in the most famous worldwide contests.

The village is right in the middle of the Natural reserve called “Sierras Subeticas”, though it’s a perfect starting point for guided visits, walked trip through the reserve, and lots of natural sports, adventure and cynegetic tourism.

La Subbética

The Subbética is a tourist region located at the south of Cordoba, which is embedded in one of the most rich natural reserve in Andalucia, known for its landscapes and ecological richness, and protected spaces such as Laguna de los Jarales or the lake of Iznajar.

The region played a great role in history as a natural border with the Kingdom of Granada, and you will find in it lots of castles and other urbanistic elements from the middle ages.

You will find as well, in several villages, examples of ‘Barroco Cordobes’ (Baroque), being Priego de Cordoba considered as the capital of this architectural art.
